VOICE 2023 : Laureate
During her years studying at the Conservatoire de Music de Montréal and at McGill University, Anna-Sophie Neher was awarded numerous grants, including from the Sylva‑Gelber Music Foundation and the Jacqueline Desmarais Foundation. In 2017, she won the Manuvie competition of the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and the Wirth Prize from McGill University. She also took part in the Concours international de Montréal and the International Mozart Competition in Salzburg. She is a member of the Ensemble Studio of the Canadian Opera Company in Toronto. She has performed in roles such as Blanche de La Force (Dialogues des carmélites), Adèle (Die Fledermaus), Belinda (Dido and Aeneas), and Barbarina (The Marriage of Figaro). Last season, she made her debut at the Opéra National de Paris in the role of Antigone (OEdipe). Anna-Sophie Neher has performed in concert in Carl Orff’s Carmina Burana, and in Mozart’s Great Mass in C Minor, Coronation Mass, and Requiem.
