VOICE 2023 : Laureate
A laureate of the Prix d’Europe in 2021, Carole-Anne Roussel
is currently an artist in residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where she is taught by José Van Dam and Sophie Koch. She obtained a master’s degree from the Conservatoire de Musique et d’Art dramatique du Québec, where she studied under Sonia Racine and Martin Dubé. She has taken several masterclasses with teachers such as Marlena Malas, Margo Garrett, Wolfgang Holzmair, Kathryn LaBouffe, Joseph Rouleau, and Richard Margison. In recent years, she has performed as a soloist at the Conservatoire du Québec, the Highlands Opera Studio, Opera NUOVA, the Opéra de Québec, and La Relève Musicale de Québec. Carole-Anne Roussel has also sung as a soloist with the Orchestre Symphonique de l’Estuaire, the Orchestre symphonique de Québec, the Orchestre Symphonique de Lévis, and Le Choeur des Rhapsodes.
