Da Sol Kim
Da Sol Kim studied at the Pusan Graduate School of Arts before undertaking further studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Leipzig with Gerald Fauth and in Hannover with Karl-Heinz Kämmerling and Arie Vardi. He has won prizes at numerous competitions and has worked with a number of renowned orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic, the MDR Sinfonieorchester Leipzig, the Rundfunk-Sinfonieorchester Berlin, the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande, the Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie, the Kammerakademie Potsdam, under Alan Gilbert, Ulrich Windfuhr, David Zinman and Michael Sanderling, among others.
Regularly invited to perform at prestigious music festivals around the world, such as La Roque d'Antheron, Kissinger Sommer and Great Mountain Music Festival, Da Sol Kim performs with exceptional musicians including David Geringas, Yeol Eum Son, Andreas Brantelid, Svetlin Roussev, among others. In 2015, Universal Music (Korea) has released his debut CD, featuring various solo works by F. Schubert and R. Schumann.
