Dami Kim

Dami Kim started the violin at the age of 5. She studied first under Aaron Rosand at the Curtis Institute of Music (Philadelphia) and later under Miriam Fried at the New England Conservatory (Boston). She has won numerous scholarships and competition prizes, including First Prize at the Joseph Joachim Competition (Hannover) in 2012 and at the Munetsugu Angel Violin International Competition (Nagoya) in 2011, various prizes at the Premio Paganini Competition (Genoa), and Fifth Prize at the Sendai International Competition in 2010. She has appeared with the Philadelphia Orchestra, the KBS Symphony Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic, the Daejeon Philharmonic, and the Kyung-Ki orchestra and has given recitals in Korea, Japan, Italy, and the United States.
