Hans H. Suh

Trained in his homeland, Hans H. Suh won the Korea Times Music Competition at the age of seven and gave his first recital the same year. He made his United States debut at the age of eleven, following his victory in the New York Philharmonic Young Artists Audition, and went on to study under Matti Raekallio and Emanuel Ax at Columbia University. He is currently engaged in further studies at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover under Olivier Gardon. Hans Suh won the Silver Medal at the Sendai International Music Competition in 2013 and has performed with a number of orchestras, including the New York Philharmonic Orchestra, the Seoul Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Kammerphilharmonie Graubünden, under K. Masur, V. Feltsman, and M.W. Chung. He has also taken part in many masterclasses given by M. Perahia, G. Ohlsson, and P. Serkin.
