Born in 1976, Jong-Gyung Park began her music studies in Korea and Japan. She continued her training at the New England Conservatory in Boston with Russel Sherman and Wha Kyung Byun. She has also studied at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater in Munich with Elisso Wirssaladze. In 1996, she won fourth prize in the Busoni Competition in Bolzano and third prizes at the Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition in 1998 and the Sviatoslav Richter Competition in 2008. She has performed both in recital and with orchestra in the United States, Israel, Italy and Korea.
