Karen Su
 
Karen Su was born into a musical family and received her first lessons from her father, Elmer Su. She was then admitted to the Rotterdam Conservatoire and studied under Vesna Gruppman and Igor Gruppman. As a soloist, she has performed with orchestras around the world, such as the University of Guanajuato Symphony Orchestra in Mexico, the Fujian Symphony Orchestra in China, the Codarts Symphony Orchestra in the Netherlands, as well as with orchestras in the United States. In June 2018, at the age of 19, Karen Su graduated summa cum laude from the Rotterdam Conservatoire. In September 2018 she performed Prokofiev’s Concerto No. 1 as part of the Gergiev Festival organised by the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra. Karen Su is Artist in Residence at the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel in the class of Augustin Dumay.
