Marc Bouchkov
 
Marc Bouchkov first learned to play the violin at the age of 5 with his grandfather, Matis Vaytsner. In 2001 he entered the Conservatoire de Lyon, in Claire Bernard’s class, before going on to further studies at the CNSM in Paris and under Boris Garlitsky in Hamburg. At the age of 17 he won First Prize in the Henri Koch International Competition (Liege). Awarded the Edel-Prize scholarship, he also won First Prize at the Young Concert Artists Auditions in Leipzig in 2010. He has given many recitals in France, Belgium, and Germany and has also performed with the Moscow Soloists under Yuri Bashmet and with the Hamburger Symphoniker, the Hacettepe Senfoni Orkestrası in Ankara, the Orchestre Impromptu in Paris, and the Liege Royal Philharmonic.
