Marie-Annick Nicolas

Born in France in 1956, Marie-Annick Nicolas won a First Prize at the Paris Conservatory at the age of 13 and is a laureate of some of several international competitions : Long-Thibaud, Szeryng, Tchaikovsky, Queen Elisabeth and Montreal. Noticed by David Oistrakh, she studied at the Tchaïkowsky Conservatory in Moscow with Boris Bielinki, and later became assistant at the Bloomington School of Music (Indiana University),where she had been invited by Franco Gulli. Since 1993, Marie-Annick-Nicolas teaches at the Geneva Conservatory. She plays an Andrea Guarnerius - Crémona 1673.
