Nikola Diskic

Nikola Diskic began his studies at the Stankovic Music School in his native Belgrade; in 2007 he went on to further singing studies at the Hochschule für Musik und Darstellende Kunst in Mannheim under Snežana Stamenkovic. He has also studied under Biserka Cvejic in Belgrade, Rudolf Piernay in London (Guildhall School), and Philip Kang in Seoul (National University). Since 2009 he has taken part in a number of opera productions at the National Theatre in Mannheim: Ariadne auf Naxos (a lackey), Il Barbiere di Siviglia (Fiorello, conducted by Alois Seidelmeyer), Carmen (Morales), and Lohengrin (the herald), the two last named conducted by Dan Ettinger. Between 2005 and 2007 he won a number of prizes in national and international competitions in his homeland.
