VIOLIN 2005
Ukranian violinist Oleg Kaskiv started his music studies at the Krushelnytska Special music school and the Lysenko Conservatory in Lviv (Ukraine). He then moved on to the International Menuhin Music Academy to study with Alberto Lysy in 1996, where he now is a professor of violin himself and the leader of the Camerata Menuhin. Since 2007 he also teaches at the Geneva Conservatoire de Musique. He is a laureate of several international violin competitions, including the Oistrakh Competition (Ukraine), the Spohr Competition (Germany), the Montreal Competition (Canada), the Premio Lipizer (Italy) and the Molinari Competition (Switzerland). As a soloist he has collaborated with the Camerata Lysy, Camerata de Lausanne, National Orchestra of Belgium, Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal, Sinfonieorchester Baden-Baden, Kiev National
Orchestra and the Philarmonic of Odessa.
