VOICE 2011 : Laureate
Stanislas de Barbeyrac began singing in the Masters of the Little Singers of Bordeaux and started to study singing in 2004, at the Bordeaux Conservatory in the class of L. Sarrazin. In 2008 he won First Prize at the Concours de Chant in Béziers and in the Concours International de Marmande. In 2010 he was awarded the Prix du Cercle Carpeaux and the Prix Lyrique de l’Association pour le Rayonnement de l’Opéra de Paris. Lyric Revelation of the Victoires de la Musique Classique 2014, he is also a laureate of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in 2011.

He has performed in a number of operas, concerts and recitals at the Opéra-Garnier, in the Capitole in Toulouse (Slave in Salome), in Nice (Edmond in Manon Lescaut), Lille (Britten’s Les Illuminations), Marseilles (Beppe in Pagliacci), and Tours (Jacquino in Fidelio) and at the Chorégies d’Orange (Gastone in La Traviata and Borsa in Rigoletto), in Bucharest, and at the Villa Medici in Rome. He also sang in Elias with the Orchestre National de France conducted by Kurt Masur.

This season, Stanislas de Barbeyrac interprets the role of Narraboth in Salome and Walter von der Vogelweide in Tannhäuser at the National Opera of Paris, a concert version of Carmen at the Festival Ninon Vallin, Haydn’s Creation and Gloria by Puccini at the Sorbonne, Eugene Onegin (Lenski) with Opéra Eclate, Tristan and Isolde (the Sailor and Shepherd) in Nice, Othello (Cassio) in Toulon, Midi Musical in Bordeaux, Elias in Paris and at the Festival de La Chaise Dieu.

Future projects include Der Ferne Klang (Knight and The Individual Suspect) by F. Schreker in Strasbourg, Mozart’s Requiem at Chartres in the Festival Musiques au Coeur of Eve Ruggieri, Poliuto (Nearco) in Marseille, La Traviata (taken as Alfredo) in St. Etienne, Dialogues of the Carmelites (knight Force) in Toulon then in Nantes / Angers, Romeo and Juliet (Tybalt) in Avignon, before returning to Marseille, Toulon and Paris Opera including Alceste (Evander).
