VIOLIN 2015 : Fourth Prize
Trained at the Hochschule für Musik in Würzburg since the age of eight, Tobias Feldmann entered Antje Weithaas’s class at the Hochschule für Musik Hanns Eisler in Berlin in 2010. A laureate of numerous national and international competitions, he won First Prize and the Audience Prize at the Henri Marteau International Competition in 2011. The following year, he was a laureate of the Joseph Joachim International Competition in Hanover and was awarded the Marie-Luise Imbusch Foundation Prize. He has performed, at the invitation of the Goethe-Institut, in Thailand, Vietnam, and Tunisia and at the Schleswig-Holstein Festival, the Ludwigsburger Schlossfestspiele, and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. He has played with a number of orchestras, including the Utah Symphony, the Münchener Kammerorchester, and the NDR Radiophilharmonie (Hanover). He released his first CD in 2014 on Genuin.
