Walter Kamper
 
PIANO 1960 : Seventh Prize
Walter Kamper was born in 1931 in Vienna. He studied at the Universität für Musik in his natal town and at the Hochschule für Musik in Berlin. His teachers were Bruno Seidlhofer, Richard Hauser and Helmuth Roloff. In 1952 he obtained the 2nd prize of the International Competition of Geneva. From 1963 to 1968 he was the pianist of the Haydn Trio Wien. He has taught at the Kunstuniversität Graz.
