Yukiko Uno

The Japanese violinist Yukiko Uno started to play the violin at the age of four. She trained at the Tokyo University of the Arts under Natsumi Tamai, Kazuki Sawa, and Ryo Mikami and later at the Mozarteum in Salzburg under Pierre Amoyal. She is currently studying under Rainer Schmidt. She is a laureate of the Andrea Postacchini, Gifu, and Chengdu Guangya competitions. Yukiko Uno has performed as a soloist with the Chamber Orchestra of Nagoya, the Orchestra Filarmonica Marchigiana, and the Mozarteum Orchestra. Recently, she was a guest at the St Gellert Festival as a soloist with the festival orchestra. In chamber music, Yukiko Uno has played in the Camerata de Lausanne, conducted by Pierre Amoyal. She has performed in public with, among others, Viktor Tretyakov, Vadim Repin, Rainer Kuchl, Pavel Gililov, Ferenc Rados, Vilmos Szabadi and Herwig Zack.
