Yuriy Hadzetskyy

The baritone Yuriy Hadzetskyy was born in Lviv in Ukraine. He studied at the Mykola Lysenko Lviv National Music Academy under Stepan Pyatnychko and Petro Onchul. A former soloist with the early-music ensemble A capella Leopolis, he has worked with baroque music specialists such as Paul Esswood, Angelika Mots, Marek Toporowski, Tomek Slusarchyk, Peter Benovich, and Nazar Kozhuhar. He has been a guest soloist with the Lviv Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra and made his operatic debut in 2015 in Don Giovanni at the Solomiya Krushelnytska Lviv National Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Between 2016 and 2017, Yuriy Hadzetskyy was a soloist at the Kyiv National Operetta Theatre ; since 2017, he has participated in the ‘Opera Academy’ Young Talents Training Programme of the Teatr Wielki (Polish National Opera) in Warsaw.
