All the candidates who have passed the preselection round based on the screening of video recordings will be able to take part in the first public round. In this menu, you will find the order of appearance and the repertoire proposed by each candidate, as from Saturday 7 May.

At each session, which consists of two parts, the public hears four different semi-finalists. Each of the 24 semi-finalists will perform a recital, containing the imposed work specially written for the semi-final of this cello competition, and on another day a Haydn concerto with the Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie, under the baton of Vahan Mardirossian.

Each evening two finalists will perform with the Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Stéphane Denève.
