Clémentine Margaine

After training as a pianist, Clémentine Margaine began her vocal studies in 2000. In 2003 she went on to study under Gerda Hartman at the CNSM in Paris. She later went on to further studies in the baroque repertoire, lieder, and French song in Royaumont, as well as under Chantal Mathias. In 2009 she was chosen as the ADAMI Révélation Classique and was awarded the jury’s special prize at the Concours International de Marmande. She has performed in recital, in lieder (including Musorgsky and Mahler), and in oratorio (both Dvo?ák’s Stabat Mater and Rossini’s, Verdi’s Requiem and Duruflé’s) in France (including the Abbaye de Royaumont, the Cité de la Musique, the Besançon opera house, and the Salle Gaveau), in Morocco (the Essaouira Festival), and in Singapore. In opera, her roles have included Carmen, Annio (La Clemenza di Tito), and La Discorde and Roxanne (L’Europe galante). In 2011-2012 she will be a member of the Deutsche Oper ensemble in Berlin.
