Daniela Gerstenmeyer began her studies in the Mozarteum in Salzburg under the tutelage of H. Hopfner and studied with Charlotte Lehmann at the Hanover University of Music. She was also trained at the Thuringian Opera Studio in Weimar and Erfurt. In 2012, she was a laureate at the European Opera Singing Competition (Weikersheim). On stage, she has played Frasquita (Carmen), Cleopatra (Giulio Cesare), Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) in Erfurt Theatre, and Gretchen (Der Wildschütz by Lortzing in Weimar), Liù (Turandot at the Erfurt Festival), and Anna Reich (Die lustigen Weiber von Windsor at the Opera of Hanover). She has performed with the Camerata of Salzburg, the Philharmonic Orchestra and the Bach-Collegium of Stuttgart.
