VIOLIN 1971 : Eleventh Prize
Magdalena Rezler was born in a well-known Polish family of musicians. She studied with T. Wronski and S. Kawalla, after which she started an international concert career that brought her throughout Europe and to Asia and the United States. She is a prizewinner of the Queen Elisabeth Competition, the Jacques Thibaud Concours and the Karl Flesch Competition. For 13 years, she led the successful Rezler Quartet. She has been a professor at the Chopin Conservatory in Warsaw and teaches at the Hochschule für Musik in Freiburg since 1991.
