Rocío Pérez

Born in Madrid, Rocío Pérez first trained in the clarinet and drama and took her first singing classes with Elena Valdelomar. She then attended the Escuela Superior de Canto in Madrid, where she was taught by Victoria Manso. She has taken part in masterclasses given by Natalie Dessay, Ana Luisa Chova, Dolora Zajick, June Anderson, and Carlos Chausson. Since 2014, she has been a member of the Opéra Studio at the Opéra National du Rhin. She has sung under conductors such as Alberto Zedda, Patrick Davin, Vincent Monteil, Antonino Fogliani, and Martyn Brabbins. In 2017, Rocío Pérez was awarded two special prizes at the Hans Gabor Belvedere Singing Competition and third prize at the ‘Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg’ competition ; earlier, she won second prize at the Concours International de Chant de Marmande and first prize at the Luis Mariano International Singing Competition.
