A consummate musician, Tanguy de Williencourt is a much-admired soloist and is also in great demand as a chamber musician. The holder of four Masters from the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique in Paris, where he was taught by Roger Muraro, Claire Désert, and Jean-Frédéric Neuburger, he has been recognised by the Blüthner and Banque Populaire Foundations. He has been greatly influenced by advice received from Maria João Pires, Christoph Eschenbach, Stephen Kovacevich, and Paul Badura-Skoda.

Tanguy de Williencourt was awarded both the Prix du Jury and the Prix du Public by the Société des Arts de Genève in 2016, was named ‘Révélation classique’ by the ADAMI, became a laureate of the Génération SPEDIDAM 2017-19, and was awarded the Orchestre de Chambre de Paris Prize at the Paris Play-Direct 2017 competition at the Philharmonie de Paris. He has performed in great concert halls such as the St Petersburg Philharmonia and the Berlin and Paris Philharmonies, as well as at festivals such as the Chopin in Nohant, the Radio France Occitanie Montpellier, the Pablo Casals in Prades, the Chaise-Dieu, the Festival de la Vézère, Les Solistes à Bagatelle, the Chorégies d’Orange, Les Victoires de la Musique, Les Pages Musicales de Lagrasse, the Gstaad Menuhin Festival, La Folle Journée de Nantes, and La Roque d’Anthéron. He has performed with the musicians Olivier Charlier, Pierre Fouchenneret, Guillaume Chilemme, Adrien Boisseau, Bruno Philippe, Jérôme Pernoo, Paul Meyer, and Philippe Bernold and with the singers Mireille Delunsch and Vincent le Texier and has played under conductors such as Jean-Christophe Spinosi and Raphaël Pichon.

His discography includes two recordings with the cellist Bruno Philippe - of Brahms and Schumann (Evidence Classics) and of Beethoven and Schubert (Harmonia Mundi) - as well as a double CD of the complete Liszt transcriptions of Wagner for the piano (Mirare).
