VIOLIN 1980 : Eleventh Prize
A graduate of the Academy of Music in Kraków (class of violin of Eugenia Uminska), Teresa Glabowna perfected her skills in Geneva, under the direction of H. Szeryng and in Brussels with I. Bobesco. In 1979, a one-year scholarship was granted to her by the Government of Belgium. She graduated with the highest distinction from the Conservatory of Brussels.

Teresa Glabowna is a laureate of international violin competitions such as the N. Pagainini Competition in Genoa and the Queen Elisabeth Competition. She gave concerts in Belgium, Finland, Holland, Canada, Switzerland and Italy and made many archival recordings for the Polish Radio. She participated several times in the jury of the National Violin and Violists Competitions in Poznan.

An educator for many years, Teresa Glabowna is full professor and has been director of the Chair of Violin and Viola at the Academy of Music in Krakow.
