Yoonji Kim

After training at the Korea National University of Arts in Seoul and later at the Hochschule für Musik, Theater und Medien in Hanover, Yoonji Kim is currently studying at the Universität der Künste in Berlin under Markus Groh. In 2014, she was second laureate of the Artur Schnabel Competition (Berlin) and won the Chopin Prize at the Cologne International Music Competition. Yoonji Kim has performed in Germany (Steinway Haus in Berlin, Leipzig Summer Festival, C. Bechstein Centrum in Hanover), the Czech Republic (with the Prague Philharmonia under Charles Olivieri-Munroe), and Korea (at Kumho Art Hall and with the KBS Orchestra). She has also taken part in numerous masterclasses given by András Schiff, Arie Vardi, and Jerome Lowenthal.
