After studying at the Music Conservatory in Xinghai, Yuntian Liu went on to further studies in the United States, under Stanislav Ioudenitch at the International Music Center of Park University. He has performed in a number of U.S., Chinese, and European cities, both in recital and as a soloist with various orchestras, including the Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra (2004), the Ukraine National Philharmonic Orchestra (2007), and the Philharmonia of Greater Kansas City (2010). First laureate of the Wiesbaden International Competition in 2004, he is also a laureate of the Golden Bell National Competition in China (Gold Medal, 2004) and of the Horowitz International Competition for Young Pianists in Ukraine (2nd Prize, 2007).
