Baron Huyghebaert passes the torch

03/04/2025

Baron Huyghebaert will conclude his term as president of the board of directors of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in April 2025, as board membership is subject to an age limit of 80 years. He succeeded Count Jean-Pierre de Launoit in 2014, having served as vice-president alongside him since 1987.

The board and the entire Competition team would like to thank him for his unwavering dedication and commitment over the years and are pleased that he will remain connected to the Competition as honorary president.

The board of directors has unanimously decided to entrust the presidency to Count Yvan de Launoit, who has served as vice-president since 2014. The succession for the vice-presidency will be announced in the coming months.

We look forward to the continued development of the Queen Elisabeth Competition in the years ahead under this new leadership.
