12/05/2025 The semi-final of the 21st edition dedicated to the piano starts on Monday at 15:00 at Studio 4 of Flagey! The candidates will perform from Monday 12 until Saturday 17 May. Download the schedule on the bottom of the page.
Live video streamingThanks to the RTBF and the VRT, you can again follow the semi-final via live streaming on our website, and on demand. The performances will also be broadcast on Belgian national radio and television.
22 semi-finalistsDue to medical reasons, two pianists, Jacopo Giovannini and Miguel Iglesias Lista, had to withdraw from the semi-final. The semi-finalists who were scheduled to appear after these candidates will now perform earlier in the afternoon or evening:

ProgrammeAt each session, which consists of two parts, four different semi-finalists are scheduled. The first two play a Mozart concerto with the
Orchestre Royal de Chambre de Wallonie conducted by
Vahan Mardirossian.
After the break, the other two perform their recital. The jury will choose one of two recital programmes proposed by the candidate, each including works of the candidate’s choice and the compulsory unpublished work written especially for this year’s edition. The jury's choice is communicated to the candidates the day before their recital and will then be indicated in the calendar on our website.

JuryThe performances of the candidates will be judged by an eminent jury panel of teachers, soloists and music professionals, presided by Gilles Ledure. Find out more about them on the

Proclamation of the finalistsThe names of the 12 finalists will be announced on our website after midnight on Saturday 17 May.
