Focus on the laureates of Voice 2018 : Héloïse Mas

In 2022, Héloïse Mas was, among others, Mallika in Lakmé by Delibes at the Teatro Real in Madrid, Smeaton in Anna Bolena by Donizetti at the Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Charlotte in Werther by Massenet at the Opéra de Lausanne then at the Opéra de Tours, and L'Opinion publique in Orphée aux Enfers by Offenbach at the Opéra de Nice. In December, she returned to Brussels and Liège to sing the mezzo solo in Les Béatitudes by Franck with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra of Liège and the Hungarian National Choir under the baton of Gergely Madaras.
This year, at the Opéra de Marseille, she was La Périchole (Offenbach) then Carmen (Bizet) and, on the occasion of Women's Rights Day, she sang arias of great heroines in between pieces by female composers under the baton of Clelia Cafiero. In Avignon and Neuchâtel Héloïse Mas sang Caprice in Offenbach's fairy opera Le Voyage dans la Lune. In May, she will be the Prince in Cendrillon by Massenet, before making her debut at the Aix-en-Provence Festival, in the production of Wozzeck under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle.
In 2021, the mezzo-soprano joined forces with the London Handel Orchestra and Laurence Cummings for a magnificent program of Handel arias. The common thread of these Anachronistic Hearts is the woman. The tunes gathered on this CD are of an absolute modernity, and the range of feelings that Héloïse Mas brings to each of these characters make her first solo disc a delight to listen to. This project is supported by the association In Matters of the Hearts, to democratise classical music and renew its audiences.
