How does the final proceed?

The final will take place at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts, from Monday 27 May to Saturday 1 June at 8.15 pm. Every evening two of the twelve finalists will perform with the Belgian National Orchestra, conducted by Antony Hermus.

Final programme
The finalists will perform a concerto of their own choice and the unpublished compulsory work, Variations Litaniques, specially written for this year’s competition by Thierry Escaich. On Saturday 1 June, the laureates will be ranked at the end of the evening. Below you can download the schedule, which is also indicated in the calendar of the final.

A week at the Music Chapel
Following their order of appearance, the finalists will enter the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel two at a time, to study the unpublished compulsory final work and to prepare for the final.
