How does the final proceed?

The final will take place at the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts, from Monday 26 to Saturday 31 May at 8.15 pm. Every evening two of the twelve finalists will perform with the Brussels Philharmonic, conducted by Kazushi Ono.


Final programme
The finalists will perform a concerto of their own choice and the unpublished compulsory work, Music for the Heart, specially written for this year’s competition by Kris Defoort. On Saturday 31 May, the laureates will be ranked at the end of the evening. Below you can download the schedule, which is also indicated in the calendar of the final.

A week at the Music Chapel
Following their order of appearance, the finalists will enter the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel two at a time, to study the unpublished compulsory final work and to prepare for the final.
