Leon Fleisher passed away on August 2, 2020.

Laureate of the piano session in 1952, he was the first American pianist to win the Queen Elisabeth Competition.
The Competition invited him on numerous occasions as a member of the jury: 1964, 1972, 1975, 1978, 1987 and 1999.
In 1999, he agreed to give master classes at the Château de la Hulpe, but also did the Competition the honour of opening the week of the final by giving the Prelude Concert at the Palais des Beaux-Arts in Brussels.

An exceptional artist, his talent is internationally recognized and no doubt he will continue to inspire generations of young pianists.

Piano 2020 postponed to May 2021
