21/09/2020 After months of being inundated with facts, figures and analyses, we feel the need for a form of input that stimulates us emotionally. But do we dare to look for that in concert halls again?
Many concert organizers have taken up the challenge: in a short time and in ever-changing circumstances they have prepared corona-proof programs to let you escape from the maelstrom and dream away to live music, performed by musicians who after months of empty concert stages are eager to share their Art with everyone.
Our partners Flagey and Bozar are programming a number of laureates in September and October:
- The winner of the very first cello competition in 2017, Victor Julien-Laferrière, is coming to Bozar on Friday 25/09 and Sunday 27/09, and will be accompanied by the Belgian National Orchestra.
- On Monday 28/09 the Artemis Quartett, including violinists Suyoen Kim and Vineta Sareika, will play in Flagey.
- On Thursday 15/10 Alexander Melnikov will perform top-quality chamber music together with violinist Isabelle Faust and cellist Jean-Guihen Queyras.
- Lorenzo Gatto and Augustin Dumay (piano jury member) will perform on Wednesday 21/10 as part of the Music Chapel Chamber Music Companionship.
What do the months of November and December have in store for us? As soon as there is more certainty, we will publish the new concerts with laureates on our website and social media channels.
Be assured that the concert halls make every effort to ensure that your visit runs safely. So go for it and enjoy the live music!
