13/08/2024 From 5 May to 11 June 2025, the Competition will be dedicated to the piano. Pianists interested in participating, can now consult the requested repertoire, the entry conditions and more detailed information about the competition rounds in the rules.
Online application: opens end of October 2024
Application deadline: Wednesday 27 November 2024 12:00 (noon) GMT
Age limit: The candidates are aged at least 18 and have not yet reached the age of 31 on 31 December 2024 (i.e., they must be born after 31 December 1993 and before 1 January 2007).
As the 2020 Piano Competition had to be postponed to 2021, the following cello, voice, violin and piano sessions have also been postponed. Exceptionally, the upper age limit for candidates for these sessions has been raised by one year, in order not to disadvantage the young musicians already preparing. For the 2029 Piano Competition the usual upper age limit of 30 years will be reinstalled. Competition timeline: The participants have to be available from 1 May 2025 (arrival day) until 27 June 2025 (last concert in the concert series organised by the Competition). They will receive the complete list of laureates' concerts upon their definitive acceptance as a candidate.
The applications will be done entirely online, through the
'APPLY' section of our website.
