BNP Paribas Fortis has been a loyal partner to the Queen Elisabeth Competition since 1991. The long-term commitment of BNP Paribas Fortis to this event enables the Competition to maintain its high standards of organisation and to expand its reach both in Belgium and on an international scale. One of the great advantages of the Bank’s involvement is to make the concerts which take place as part of the Competition available to a broad and varied public. Moreover, BNP Paribas Fortis provides further backing to the winning artists by organising each year a series of concerts across Belgium at which they are invited to play. The main purpose of this additional support initiative is to help new, young talent to gain greater public recognition and launch their careers in this country.
In Belgium, in addition to its support for the Queen Elisabeth Competition, BNP Paribas Fortis partners a number of noted musical institutions, including La Monnaie/De Munt opera house, the Flagey Cultural Centre and the Brussels Centre for Fine Arts (BOZAR).
We are proud of this partnership and delighted to be able to celebrate its 30th anniversary in 2021. We look forward to continuing the adventure with BNP Paribas Fortis by our side.
