Youth concert 2023
Wednesday 22 March 2023 (19:00) Flagey, Brussels

Petar Pejčić, soloist
Bryan Cheng, soloist

Free concert for our young audience with cellists Bryan Cheng and Petar Pejčić, both laureate of the 2022 Competition. They will perform works by Astor Piazzolla, Sergey Prokofiev, Jacques Offenbach, Paul Wiancko & Béla Bartók (approximately 1 hour of music). Bryan's sister, Silvie Cheng, will accompany them on the piano.

The Queen Elisabeth Competition has been organising a series of free concerts for young people under 26 for many years, in Brussels, Leuven and Louvain-la-Neuve. At these concerts, the laureates share their passion with their peers and explain the repertoire they present. These concerts are some of the youngsters' first contact with the world of classical music.

Year after year we notice that a large number of adults wants to attend the concert in Flagey. We are happy to be able to welcome them, but we invite them to support the young musicians with a gift. Any gift equal to or greater than 40 euros benefits from tax deductibility. You can either make a transfer to the account of the Competition BE63 3100 4009 2008 (with the mention 'gift'), or make an online donation via this form on our website. The Competition thanks you for your generosity.
