VOICE 2023 : Laureate
Fleuranne Brockway studied at the Franz Schubert Institute in Vienna, the Opera Studio of the Royal College of Music in London, and the University of Western Australia. She has gained recognition at several illustrious competitions : she won First Prize at the Concorso Lirico di Portofino and at the Joan Sutherland and Richard Bonynge Bel Canto Award. After being awarded the German-Australian Opera Grant in 2018, she moved to Wiesbaden, where she has performed at the Staatstheater in the roles of Dorabella (
Così fan tutte), Wellgunde and Rossweiße (
Der Ring des Nibelungen), Mercédès (
Carmen), Sonyetka (
Lady Macbeth de Mtsensk), La Zelatrice (
Suor Angelica), and Annina (Der Rosenkavalier) and played Charlotte (
Werther) to critical acclaim. Over the upcoming season, Fleuranne Brockway will also sing in the title role in
Carmen and in the roles of Hänsel (
Hänsel und Gretel) and Maddalena (
Rigoletto).
