Shiori Kuwahara graduated from the Tokyo University of the Arts in 2018 before obtaining her master’s degree and Konzertexamen with the highest honours at the Universität der Künste Berlin under Klaus Hellwig. She was awarded the Steinway Berlin Promotional Prize 2022. Between 2016 and 2021, she won Second Prize at the Maria Canals, Viotti, Busoni and Rubinstein competitions, also earning special prizes at both the Viotti and Busoni for outstanding interpretation. She has performed in the US, Japan, Korea and across Europe, among others at the 76th International Chopin Festival in Poland and as a soloist at the Rudolfinum Dvořák Hall in Prague. As a soloist she has appeared with such orchestras as the Israel Camerata Jerusalem, Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra, New Japan Philharmonic, Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra, Tokyo Symphony Orchestra, Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra, Kansai Philharmonic Orchestra and Geidai Philharmonia Orchestra.
