David Fung

David Fung began his studies at the Colburn Conservatory (Los Angeles) under John Perry. From 2009 to 2012, he studied further at the Yale School of Music, under Peter Frankl. He also took classes with Claude Frank. He has worked with a number of orchestras in the U.S. (including the San Diego Symphony, the Los Angeles Chamber Orchestra, and the Colburn Orchestra) and Australia (including the Melbourne, Sydney, and Queensland Symphony Orchestras), and is a regular guest at festivals in the United States (including Aspen and Ravinia), Israel, Italy (Bari), Germany (Internationaler Klaviersommer), and the United Kingdom. He has been awarded a number of scholarships and prizes, including the 4th Prize at the Rubinstein International Competition (Tel Aviv, 2008) and a special prize at the International Concert Artists Guild Competition (New York, 2011). David Fung is the artistic director of the Bari International Music Festival.
