PIANO 2016 : Second Prize
After graduating from the Juilliard School in New York in 2011, Henry Kramer is currently studying at the Yale School of Music (New Haven) under Boris Berman. A laureate of several international competitions (including the Concours Musical International de Montréal and the Shanghai International Competition), he won the Astral Artists National Auditions in 2014 and was a finalist the following year in the Honens Piano Competition, at which he was also awarded the Raeburn Prize. Henry Kramer has performed in the United States (Alice Tully Hall, Cleveland Museum of Art), Switzerland (Verbier Festival Academy), and the Netherlands (Amsterdam Concertgebouw) and has played with orchestras such as the Calgary Philharmonic, the Eastern Connecticut Symphony Orchestra, the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra, and the Bilkent Symphony Orchestra. He released his first disc, devoted to Liszt, on the Naxos label last year.
