VOICE 2023 : Laureate
Maria Warenberg graduated from the Conservatorium van Amsterdam, where she was taught by Sasja Hunnego. She also took masterclasses taught by teachers from the Juilliard School, including Ann Murray, Sergei Leiferkus, and Angel Brower. Last season, she made her debut at Opera Zuid, where she played the part of Stéphano in Gounod’s
Roméo et Juliette. She is currently a member of the Dutch National Opera Academy, for which she has played the parts of Costanza in Haydn’s
L’isola disabitata with the Orchestra of the Eighteenth Century conducted by Kenneth Montgomery and Ramiro in Mozart’s
La finta giardiniera. This season also sees Maria Warenberg perform with the Radio Filharmonisch Orkest, conducted by Enrico Delamboye, at the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, and at the TivoliVredenburg. Besides opera repertoire, she has a big passion for Lied repertoire.
