VOICE 2014 : Third Prize
- Mezzo-soprano -
Sarah Laulan started her music studies in her native country in Tours, Toulouse and Paris before continuing her training at the Royal Conservatory in Brussels, under the tutelage of Marianne Pousseur, and then at the Queen Elisabeth Musical Chapel with José Van Dam. She has sung with the Belgian National Orchestra, the la Monnaie/de Munt Symphony Orchestra and the Sinfonia Varsovia. In 2013, she was a finalist at the Armel Opera Competition in Hungary and then won second prize and the public’s prize at the International Competition of Marmande in France. On stage, she has sung Maman (in
L’Enfant et les Sortilèges by Ravel), la Marchande (in
Les Mamelles de Tirésias by Poulenc, at la Monnaie/de Munt) and Carmen (in
Carmen by Bizet).
