Sergey Tanin
 
PIANO 2025 : Sixth Prize
After winning Third Prize at the Géza Anda Concours in 2018 while a student at the Moscow Tchaikovsky Conservatoire, Sergey Tanin continued his studies at the Musik Akademie Basel, where he was the subject of a documentary about the course of his life by Swiss Television. Since 2024 he has been studying under Anna Vinnitskaya at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater Hamburg. In 2020 he won First Prize and the Audience Award at the Bad Kissingen Piano Competition. As a soloist, he has worked with many symphony orchestras, including the Tonhalle-Orchester Zürich, Musikkollegium Winterthur, Bamberger Symphoniker and Bremer Philharmoniker, among others. He has performed in such concert halls as Tonhalle Zürich, Mariinsky Concert Hall and Salle Gaveau in Paris. He has appeared at many international festivals, including the Beethovenfest Bonn, Bregenzer Festspiele, Kissinger Sommer, Levanto Festival, Musical Olympus in St. Petersburg, Engadin Festival and Musikdorf Ernen. Besides releasing several CDs, he is a co-founder of the MusicaAndeer festival.
