21/09/26 From 9 May to 2 June 2027, the Competition will be dedicated to voice. To enable audiences to follow the Competition online, we publish a wide range of photos, videos, programmes and other information on our website. This internship will give you the opportunity to work with our database and content management tools, contribute to the digitisation and promotion of our archives, particularly material from previous Voice Competitions, and assist with the management and publication of content on our website during the Competition.
Your tasks
Your main responsibilities will include:
- contributing, ahead of the Competition, to the data entry and online promotion of material from our archives;
- uploading and publishing videos and photos of performances from the different rounds on our website;
- preparing and updating programmes, schedules and candidate information for the website;
- integrating candidates’ programmes for the livestream of the competition rounds on our website;
- preparing certain documents and printed materials required for the smooth running of the Competition and for welcoming our audiences and guests.
The Voice Competition follows a particularly intensive schedule. On certain days, a large volume of content needs to be processed and published within a very short timeframe. Accuracy, speed, strong organisational skills and confidence with digital tools are therefore essential.
This internship could be for you if…
- You are preferably pursuing higher education in documentation or archival studies, digital media, content management, cultural management, or a related field.
- You are proficient in standard computer applications (Word, Excel, OneDrive).
- You quickly learn to use new platforms. Previous experience with data entry or databases is an asset.
- You are comfortable working in a multilingual environment. Our website is published in French, Dutch and English, while French and Dutch are the main working languages within the team.
- You are meticulous and have a keen eye for detail.
- You are able to work accurately and methodically, even when a large amount of information needs to be processed within a short timeframe.
- And as an added bonus: you have a passion for classical music or are simply curious to learn more about this world.
Availability
- The internship will mainly take place during the 2027 Voice Competition, from 7 May to 4 June 2027, with the possibility of starting earlier to help prepare and process archival content, ideally from Monday 26 April 2027.
- High availability is required from 9 to 13 May, during the first round and semi-final at Flagey, and from 20 to 23 May, during the final at the Centre for Fine Arts.
- Between the different rounds and until 4 June, you will also contribute to processing and publishing content online.
- As the Competition takes place at a particularly intense pace, the internship requires a certain degree of flexibility in terms of working hours. You will sometimes need to be available in the evenings and at weekends, particularly during the rounds and the announcements of results.
- The internship will mainly take place at our office at 20 rue aux Laines, 1000 Brussels, but on certain days also at Flagey (1050 Ixelles) and at the Centre for Fine Arts (23 rue Ravenstein, 1000 Brussels).
What we offer
- The opportunity to gain hands-on experience as part of a small, multilingual team in an international environment.
- A behind-the-scenes experience of a major classical music event.
- The opportunity to gain first-hand insight into the work of professionals in the music and media sectors.
- Reimbursement of public transport expenses. Our office is easily accessible by train, bus, tram or metro.
